Some Actually Care More About Their Smart Phones Than Their Wedding Rings

The next time you misplace your cell phone somewhere and start feeling seriously stressed out and enraged at
yourself, just remember that you're not alone. A new survey by Intel shows that a rising number of Americans find it more stressful to lose their phone than they would to lose their wedding ring. The survey, which involved 2,500 people, found that 87% of people would be stressed out by losing their cell phone, compared with only 77% who say they'd be upset if they lost their wedding ring. The findings depict that more people are forming some sort of emotional attachment to these devices, the kind you'd normally reserve for pets or friends.
What's sadder is that this dependency on devices is probably the reason why most of us don't have much time anymore for such companions in real life. You know you have a serious problem when some fancy gadget takes precedence over a symbol of your relationship.
