Cat people can seem a little crazy sometimes, but we've never seen anything like this flying kitty!

This half-cat, half-robot flying device is part of a visual art project called the "Orvillecopter." According to the Daily Mail, the idea was cooked up by Dutch artist Bart Jansen who was feeling down after his cat Orville (named after the famous aviator Orville Wright) was run over by a car. In his honor, Orville's owner decided to turn him into a permanent piece of artwork by transforming him into a flying helicopter.

For the project, Jansen teamed up with radio control helicopter flyer Arjen Beltman to build a specially-designed flying mechanism to attach to the stuffed cat. Check out Orville's maiden flight test below:



As you can see, Orville isn't really capable of flying very far (thank goodness!), but its creators are hoping to hook him up with more powerful engines and larger propellers in the future.
