It looks like this whole hologram business isn't going to stop with just Tupac and spoof John Mayer. The next artist to employ the use of this, is Usher. Who's jumping on the virtual performance bandwagon as he'll be appearing with digital backup dancers in a concert next month in London.
Sounds a bit silly? Well he doesn't think so. Concert director Hamish Hamilton told the Times:
"Literally, people will be able to create their own avatar and have it dance on screen with Usher."
How would hologram dancers complement Usher on the dance floor? Will they be able to keep up with his suave moves? Tune in to the show on June 11 at 4pm ET on Usher's
YouTube page if you're interested.
Is it me, or is Usher turning from a talented R&B singer into a tech-tool like Will.I.Am? Next you know, he'll be auto tuning all the way, because you know, that's real talent.
