Not only is Philippe Croizon a world class athlete, he's also an inspiration. Despite losing his arms and legs in a terrible accident 18 years ago, he's making the most of it by attempting swim between every continent in the world this summer.

How you ask? The French swimmer will be using special homemade fins which will be attached with stirrups to what’s left of his legs. Even more badass is that he won't be using prosthetics on his arms. And the only breathing apparatus he'll be using is a large snorkel:

Croizon attempt will see him cover about 53 miles and total 45 hours of continuous swimming. The course will take him and a friend through waters inhabited by sharks, orca whales, and poisonous jellyfish, and water temperature varying from 80 degrees down to 0. So yeah, badass all the way!
