Looks like Julian Assange might be facing a little competition in the near future, as The New York Times is reportedly considering creating some kind of service to provide large files more easily for leakers. The idea of this online portal is also quite similar to the recently launched Transparency Unit by Al Jazeera. More from Cutline blog:
"A small group from computer-assisted reporting and interactive news, with advice from the investigative unit and the legal department, has been discussing options for creating a kind of EZ Pass lane for leakers," Keller said.
So could this mean the beginning of the end for WikiLeaks, as it becomes a victim of its own success once other major newspapers follow suit? Guess we'll have to wait and see...
