AP reported that a young woman stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a steak knife over Pop Tarts (pre-baked toaster pastry).

Catheline Marie Colon, 18, is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after stabbing boyfriend Shawn Andrews, 19.

The authority says when officers arrived on Friday they saw Catheline cleaning blood on the floor. Authorities say Colon had lived with her boyfriend for about three months, but had moved out.

A little over a month ago, the world was shocked by Rihanna's battered face picture, allegedly taken by TMZ after boyfriend Chris Brown abused her. The worldwide controversy brought public concern into a increasingly violent pattern found in young lovers' relationships.
